SYNOPSIS
As the world crumbles due to artificial intelligence (AI) taking over the world, siblings Emily, Lucy, and Jake engage in an intense discussion for a spot in the Safe Zone, which is the only place safe from the threat of AI.
As only one of member of the family can be admitted in the Safe Zone, the ones left behind are going to die.
PRODUCTION PROCESS WITH AI
In order to create this first of its kind short film, the producers used the AI chatbot ChatGPT to create the script and to make a director's shot list.
Through the prompt of the producers, ChatGPT was able to produce a 4-minute script and a shot list that the actors and the crew used in the production of this film. We were also able to ask ChatGPT to suggest specific instructions for the Director of Photography and camera operators (choice of camera lenses, camera movements and lighting requirements), recommend wardrobe preferences, and even give us specific prompts to let Dall-E 2 create a full storyboard.
ChatGPT is a prototype artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI which specializes in dialogue. The chatbot is a large language model fine-tuned with both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.
CAST
Denise Laurel - Filipino-Spanish actress and singer. She is best known for playing roles in various dramas of Philippine TV network ABS-CBN. She was also the grand winner of the second season of the Philippine edition of Your Face Sounds Familiar.
Richard Juan - Chinese-Filipino TV personality, actor, host and entrepreneur who was raised in Hong Kong, but currently based in the Philippines. He first gained popularity through noontime show Eat Bulaga in the Philippines. He was also one of the regular housemates of Pinoy Big Brother: 737.
Angelia Ong - Entrepreneur, TV host, international model, philanthropist, environmental advocate and beauty queen who won Miss Earth 2015 in Vienna, Austria.
PRODUCERS' VISION
We created this short film with the goal of showcasing how artificial intelligence and humans can collaborate and work hand in hand in order to produce quality content.
The short film also aims to share a sneak peek of what’s to come in creating stories and how humans and AI can co-exist in the creative field.
The Safe Zone tells the story of a world where AI takes over. With this story, we want to send a message that it is imperative to regulate artificial intelligence or sentient machines as we move forward to a more advanced civilization. Humans and AI can co-exist successfully if policies and regulations are in placed.
Above all, we want to entertain mankind and open their minds to the many stories that we can watch and experience as we embrace the union of the present and the future.

He was a speaker for the New York Times Asia-Pacific Writing Competition. He was also a speaker for TEDx Talks. Throughout his career, he collaborated with several international artists like Gordon Ramsay, Paul Smith, Sandara Park, and Benedict Cumberbatch, among others.
AARON KEMMER
Aaron Kemmer is an entrepreneur and investor listed on Forbes' 30 Under 30. As a serial entrepreneur, he co-founded multiple SPACE companies that work with NASA such as OUTPOST SPACE, REDWIRE SPACE and MADE IN SPACE. Kemmer, who has a passion for kickstarting projects in cutting edge fields, also co-founded LAB AT HOME and AI assistant company MAGIC that helps thousands of businesses grow with AI.
